About Alliance

Founded in Kolkata, built on allianism.

Alliance Clubs International was established in 2008 with a single guiding principle — Vasudeva Kutumbakam, the Sanskrit aphorism that the world is one family. We are a global fellowship of allies bound by service, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to social upliftment.

Who is an Ally?

The word Ally means good friend. Every member of Alliance Clubs International is an Ally — a friend committed not only to the cause of service, but to the fellowship of every other Ally across the world.

Membership is open to women and men of every faith, region, and background who share a belief in service above self and a willingness to act on it.

Our guiding belief: Service to mankind is service to God.

Our objectives

  • Foster a global bond of friendship that transcends caste, creed, region, and language.
  • Promote self-education, mutual understanding, and the appreciation of every culture.
  • Stand alongside communities in need through sustained service — not occasional charity.
  • Develop civic, educational, and social leaders in every chapter we charter.
  • Uphold high ethical standards in the conduct of personal and professional life.

The Alliance hierarchy

Alliance Clubs International is organised in four tiers. Each tier exists to support the one below it — service flows up from the club, governance flows down from the international office.

Tier
International

Sets the constitution, signature causes, and global direction. Honours every chapter's work.

Tier
Multiple

Regional federations of districts that align programmes, conventions, and leadership development.

Tier
District

Networks of clubs in a geography. Charter new clubs, run district-level events, mentor officers.

Tier
Club

Where the service happens. Members elect officers, plan projects, and file reports.
